The 1493 printed version of the letter Columbus sent to Queen Isabella is housed at the Clements Library.
Ann Arbor is the home of the famous University of Michigan Wolverines football team and its football stadium is the largest college owned stadium - it is named 'The Big House'.
In July, Ann Arbor is host to the Ann Arbor Art Fairs, which are among the nation's top street festivals, and takes up nearly all of the downtown area. Artists and shoppers travel from all over the country to attend this yearly event. In August, thousands visit neighboring Ypsilanti for the city's annual Heritage Festival and historic Depot Town.
